At CPOMS Systems, I work closely with software engineering teams facilitating software integration and deployment to a variety of services in Microsoft Azure using Gitlab CI, Terraform and Salt Stack.
In 2021, CPOMS became part of Raptor Technologies. I have ported the Rails application to run as containers and built infrastructure to host the application stack. The product is currently offered to the US market as StudentSafe.
I played a key role in moving the UK infrastructure from a smaller cloud provider to Azure.
I am responsible for monitoring the production environment and maintaining the virtual infrastructure for all products in the UK and the shared infrastructure in the US, and implementing solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.
As an SRE my goal is to make continuous efforts to modernise, upgrade and improve the overall infrastructure with the goal of reducing major incidents, and continuously improve the quality of CI/CD pipelines.
